    I have 2 120c with the connector kit. Just used it on an interview campaign project, saved us so much time and allowed us to get the light close to the subject enough that I could compete with the sunlight in the back. Best investment I made light wise.

    When you talk about the Komodo having more dynamic range... On CineD, I've seen 12.5 stops for the Komodo and 12.6 for the Ursa G2. But I've already shot with the Komodo and loved it. I've never tried the Ursa but I have the Pocket 6K Pro. I also own the FX6 and FX3 at the moment, but I've never been really satisfied with the image quality compared to Blackmagic. So I thought I might sell the Sonys and get a Komodo (for commercials, music videos, gimbal shots-I like the modularity aspect) and an Ursa G2 (for documentaries and events). That being said I will miss the variable ND (from the FX6) and the full-frame sensor... But I hate the menus (FX3 and FX6), and I never really liked the image-it feels too "digital" compared to my Pocket 6K Pro and the Komodo that I rented for a music video. I found the image quality from the Komodo to be the best when I compare it to the cameras that I've tried (C200, C70, R5C, FX3, FX6, FX9, Pocket 6K Pro, GH6, EVA 1), but I do a lot of small documentaries and it's not really suited for that. So I was thinking of getting the Ursa for those projects.

      Although the dynamic range on paper and in testing is probably close, if not the same same, I think a bit of it is also how the code deck handles the dynamic range as well as the range of colors! Obviously my argument isn’t super scientific, but I think putting them head to head. It was fairly obvious! That being said, I’ve never used the 12 K or some of the newer models!

    Bro i have a PP 2017 crake version.... i edited my wedding caset inside and now i want to level the pitch of all the music clips... but in my PP 2017 Essential Sound Option is not showing not even the windows menu.... i searched for all penel in menu but i couldn't find ESSENTIAL SOUND.... I'm using it on my laptop i don't have dedicated graphics card so thats the problem?

    I have a Canon FD SSC 50 F1.4 and it has red fringing down to around F8. Their F1.8 lens might be better. But for color pictures, especially in contrasty situations, it's an issue.

      It's not supposed to be an "exact," but a way to think about it when exposing. The technical exacts can be fine, but usually make it much harder to understand day to day use-cases

    This information is incorrect - you only have to set the colorspace/gamma if you want a different response or change from a different color space. Even in your demo here - when you go to the colorspace choices by default it is on "Use Timeline" - if your are in "Davinci Wide Gamut" the tool is colorspace aware and there would be no real reason to change it. Not sure you are telling people something correctly or they may interpret it incorrectly. HDR tool in Davinci Wide Gamut - the color space is large enough to accommodate almost any other space. If you worked in Display referred, ( which is not that common anymore ) and the timeline colorspace was rec709 or sRGB - then that might be a time to use the camera color space while using the tool. But in most cases if your color management is set up correctly - no need to change it. It is definitely not going to create any problems as described.

      Hey Jim. I think your first sentence is a tad contradictory. If you set it, the response may be different, meaning the information is not incorrect. A timeline colorspace is not always the working space (the reason CSTs exist) meaning that had HDR wheels mapped to the working node, may result in different results. Thanks for watching.

      @@CameronGallagher In version 18 manual - it's on page 2940. it literally says what I said which is that because the HDR palette is color space aware, it’s not necessary to enable the HDR setting on nodes for controls to work intuitively while working within a wide gamut Timeline Color Space, or delivering to an HDR format. If you have your color management set up - especially in Davinci Wide Gamut - color space aware means that the color and contrast controls of the HDR palette conform themselves to the range of each clip’s image data as mapped from the Input Color Space assigned to the source clip to the Timeline Color Space your program is working within. You only need to access the option menu if you are working in a display referred pipeline and these days that is actually a rare occurrence . from the manual - "While the HDR palette has been designed to work hand in hand with color management, you can use it in non-color managed workflows so long as you set it up correctly. The HDR palette option menu has Color Space and Gamma submenus that let you specify how you want to work. By default, both submenus are set to “Timeline” to reflect the color space you’re choosing to work within in display- referred workflows. " Your implication especially at the end of your video was that if people didn't choose the camera color space that they would have trouble - And sorry but that information as I stated is not correct.

      Usually not. From my understanding, although core count is great, different generations and other outside elements can affect the speed. A modern i5 6 core, MAY be equivalent to an old quad core i7, but I would look to CPU benchmark websites

    I don't understand...why would anyone extend a chroma key background? Wouldn't it be much easier to just mask out the talent, then key out the minimal amount of blue/green background?       So this wasn't a chroma key shoot. We actually had some motion & didn't want to have to raise our shutter speed (or deal with un-realistic lighting) so doing this was the best way to get a real backdrop, while extending its edges
